ABOUT US
Staten Island Nascar Track
Ever since the International Speedway Corporation (ISC) purchased land worth $110 million for the purpose of building the largest Nascar track, plans have been underway to construct it. Various environmental and traffic issues have been ironed out and it seems as though that the new Nascar Track will soon be the talk of the town.
The new Staten Island Nascar Track is designed to accommodate approximately 80,000 race fans! Although fans expect traffic woes during race days, the authorities have taken it into account. Since there are only about 8,400 parking spaces to accommodate the 80,000 seating Nascar Track, the authories have ensured renting of every available ferry near and within the island for race days. There are plans to improve the bus, and light rail line system to ensure that there are no future problems with traffic.
With new ramps in the planning, most Nascar enthusiasts won't even have to bother about driving to the race track. It's been said that each ticket bought will be tied to a means of transportation – this means that fans could buy a ticket and they would be entitled to either use the ferry, bus, light rail, taxi…etc.
It has been said that, without a smidgen of a doubt, the Staten Island Nascar Track will be one of the most innovative, technologically advanced, well-designed, thoughtful and urban-friendly Nascar Track in the world.
